Disturbing Things

1. The Hudson River view we have from Sami’s hospital room is both beautiful and disturbing. The current heads north or south depending on what time of day it is. Turns out that the river is just that – a river- up north but down here, it’s a tidal estuary. Which explains everything. Still disturbing though.

2. The cafeteria ran out of corned beef hash at 9am today. I remind you that this is a NYC hospital which has no corned beef hash. V disturbing. I ask again what kind of substandard cafeteria is this.

3. This is not disturbing but I just want you to know that it costs me $36.00 a day to park. The valets here are the best.

  1. Just catching up on your ordeal. Hope the patient is well soon before you get sick, too — hospitals are germ incubators. Mix a little hand sanitizer into your vodka for a while.

  2. Do you have a disabled / handicapped plate or mirror hanger? The hospitals out here (in the west) do NOT charge for parking for anyone with that designation (to park in the hospital garage). It doesn’t hurt to ask. Hang in there Suze … know that Sami has many people out here in the ether who are keeping him (and you) in their thoughts and prayers.
