Is Obama Confused?

I get how the Big Bird thing was good for a 24-hour news cycle but seriously – eight days later and the president is still talking about it? And the Dems made a TV ad about it?

It’s so hard to understand why they’re making such a continuous big deal about it. Sesame Workshop even issued what amounts to a C&D when they requested that Obama’s campaign lay off it already and stop using their Sesame Street character without permission:

Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns. We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down.

… to which the Obama campaign replied: “We’ll think about it.” followed immediately by “Ok we thought about it – no.”

One wonders why the president is so riled up at the thought that Big Bird might not continue getting tax payer support. Could this sneak peak at the proofs for the 2012 White House Christmas Card give any insight into this issue?

On our way to where the air is sweet

Has the president confused a Sesame Street character with another tall awkward creature who occasionally flutters around his vicinity? Could that be why he’s so shook up?

And heaven help us all if  Old Joe uses the VP debate platform tonight to talk about a somewhat thicker, shorter individual with a bad attitude and a perennially cranky expression. Now that would be a BFD.

  1. The beauty and simple perfection of this image will go down in history. If I ever quit laughing I’m going to have it framed.

  2. That does look strange, teri. hmmmm

He keeps bringing up Big Bird because he has nothing else to stand on. His record is unmentionabl as everything was a failure. And it’s already been pointed out that Big Bird is richer than Mitt.
